My dog has a sensitive stomach and suffers from various issues, which I wanted to manage with Dr. Flex Premium Digestive Enzymes + Probiotics. After a short period of use, I can already see a significant improvement. His stool consistency has improved, grass-eating and stool-eating, as well as vomiting, have decreased, and stomach noises have become less frequent. So far, this product has convinced me.
My dog is currently suffering from coprophagia (stool eating) and is completely obsessed with every pile he finds. Every walk turns into both a physical challenge and a test of patience, as I would like to let him sniff around, but I never know if he’s targeting a pile of feces. Since he is healthy and has been recently dewormed, I did some quick research and found out that the ingredients (pancreatic enzymes and synbiotics) could potentially be the right solution.
According to the package instructions, my dog (Beagle, 14 kg) receives 2 capsules in his food. I also toss the emptied capsules into the bowl (he eats them too). The supplement comes in the form of a white, odorless powder.
I haven’t been using the product for very long yet, and there is also thick snow outside, but I have already noticed the following: my dog no longer pulls me like crazy, and if I immediately say “No!” when I spot a pile, he actually leaves it alone. This wasn’t the case before—he used to snatch up every pile along the way, especially if I said no.
His stool is firm (which is good, as he occasionally has issues with his anal glands), he has no bad breath, no bloating, so I would say the supplement is absolutely helpful. If my dog ever develops a craving for feces again (or other digestive problems), I would definitely use this supplement again. I will continue giving him the product until the pack is finished to provide him with all the beneficial ingredients.
At first, we were concerned about how our dog would tolerate the enzymes, but his body is handling them very well, and he takes the capsules without any problems when wrapped in a bit of cheese. His stool during walks clearly shows that the capsules are working, and he no longer has any digestive issues. That’s exactly how it should be!
